Frequently asked
Why three tiers and not five?
Because the difference between every other configuration is mostly noise. Visitor is "see if the library matches you." Scholar is "I want the whole shelf." Institution is "my classroom needs its own room." That covers the real choices.
What happens when I hit my 3-Lens weekly limit on the free plan?
You can still browse the Atlas, see every Lens metadata, and watch the live preview. The simulation chrome itself locks for the rest of the week. The counter resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. Monthly cancels at the end of the billing cycle. Annual gets a prorated refund within 14 days of payment per our refund policy.
Do you offer student discounts?
A student email gets you Scholar at $4.50/month or $39/year — that’s 50% off. Verification through SheerID at signup.
Family or sibling plan?
Not yet. We treat one card as one reader. If you’re a household, write to us — we’re open to a shared-progress family option in v1.1.
What currencies do you support?
USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD at launch. Stripe handles FX; you’re billed in your card’s currency.
Are taxes / VAT included in the listed price?
Listed prices are pre-tax. VAT, GST, and sales tax are added at checkout based on your billing address.
How does the Institution plan scale beyond 10 seats?
$45 per additional seat per year (volume tiers at 50, 100, 250 seats). Email [email protected] for a quote.
Can I use Lenses in my published course materials?
Scholar gives you personal viewing rights. Institutional licensing covers classroom presentation, course-pack inclusion, and white-labeled embeds. Talk to us about scope.
Will the price go up?
Prices on this page are locked for existing subscribers. Future renewals stay at the price you signed up at — even if we raise list prices for new readers.
Do you have an open-source / nonprofit option?
Educators at non-profits and public schools get a 30% discount on Institution. Email us with proof of status.
